Iplayed 1404 HE last night and was very disappointed, the ui is too big and looks blurry (at 2560x1600), took ages to load and ingame seemed laggy. I’ve just loaded up the original gold edition, with unofficial patch and patched the exe to use 4gb and it’s 100% better. Sad I bought the he edition, waste of a tenner :(

Consideringthe Anno 1404 History Edition includes the Venice addon, and that this addon is the very same original game with some extras, why does Steam complicate matters by offering to run the old (non-addon) game instead of always launching the Venice expanded mode? The only reason I can think of is to allow loading saved
